Services

These are my specialties and the outcome of many years of training, education and experience. While they are listed separately, they certainly don't have to be isolated. I am drawn to using whatever method is appropriate in the moment. Music in some form is often woven into what I offer.

End of Life & Grief Support

I unintentionally fell into supporting individuals facing terminal and life-limiting illness, along with their loved ones, in 2008. I quickly discovered it was the work I was meant to do. It is a tender and sacred time that comes with a myriad of obstacles and adjustments, and I hold it with deep reverence.  I seek to help my clients open pathways to holistic comfort and ease through calm presence, deep listening, gentle guidance and often music in its many forms. I value affirming life story through legacy work and meaning-making.  Honoring individual experiences, identities and celebrating strengths in the moment within a safe and supportive environment are at the core of my approach, as well as skillful music and intuitive choice.

Each session is unique and may unfold in many different ways depending on the focus, capacity of the client and variety of methods used.

Inner Navigation

Finding our way through these complicated times can be overwhelming and unclear. The Bonny Method of Guided Imagery and Music (GIM) can offer a guiding light to illuminate the maps of our inner world and lead us to wisdom and comfort in our experience of the outer world.

GIM is a music- centered consciousness-expanding approach to transformational therapy. It employs very specific selected sequences of music that evoke imagery and support exploration of layers of consciousness. In GIM, the music serves as a catalyst and container for imagery that can allow one to access and explore the human experience on a profound level and unearth resources. GIM offers a deep experience that can lead to personal understanding, self-love, freedom, and trust in your own inner compass.

GIM can be an effective approach for many but must be used with caution and adapted with certain mental health diagnoses.

Sound Bath

How I approach sound baths (also: sound healing, meditation, therapy, journey . . .) is geared towards experiencing vibration and frequency to affect change within your inner landscape. My intention is to offer an experience that helps to rest and reset the nervous system and explore different states of consciousness. The frequencies used can help slow and manipulate brain waves into theta state which helps us access and engage the parasympathetic nervous system. This, in turn, opens space for healing. I use quartz crystal bowls, voice and other sound makers to encourage a shift of consciousness into a deeper relaxed state. It is a holistic experience and can stimulate  physiological, psychological, emotional, cognitive, social, and spiritual responses. The vibrations offered are persuasive and can entrain the body's energy centers into balance and can open neural pathways and transport one to relaxation, creativity, insight, and bliss.

'Sound healing' is not a regulated practice. My knowledge and experience as a music therapist and musician guide my approach, as does my intuition.

Workshops, Retreats & Events

I do offer workshops, retreats and special events. I often do this in collaboration with various skillful facilitators, space holders, teachers and healers.  Each event tends to be unique with different experiences but at the root of all the events I co-create are self-love, healing, and building community and resources.
